KOHLSCHEIN completes generation change in management
In January this year, Tobias Höflich joined the general management board of KOHLSCHEIN, a leading manufacturer of sustainable and high-quality paperboard materials for print, display & packaging founded in 1932.
The 35-year-old German, who joined KOHLSCHEIN in 2019 after marketing positions at STABILO and HILTI, was at first responsible for business development, before taking over responsibility for E-Commerce, IT, marketing & product development in 2021 as Innovation & Business Development Director. In his new role, he will also be responsible for the Creative Solutions business area and drive it forward. "The cardboard- & paperboard industry is extremely dynamic and exciting. At KOHLSCHEIN, I appreciate the combination of tradition and modernity as well as the sustainability aspects that have been a key ingredient in the company’s DNA for over 90 years. Particularly with our environmentally friendly products, I see a lot of potential for a plastic-free and more sustainable world. I am really looking forward to this new challenge," says Tobias Höflich.
At the same time, his father Michael Höflich retired after almost 40 years as
Managing Director. The company thanks him for his years of passion and
commitment to the company.
"My father shaped the company's mission statement with his values and was
instrumental in the successfully establishment of the Creative Solutions
business area as well as the development of our product range. With his technical
expertise, he also ensured the continued modernisation and expansion of our
office and manufacturing spaces, as well as developing a remarkably diversified machine park," Tobias Höflich continues.
The Chairman of the Management Board, Oliver Höflich, adds: "I would like to thank our father Michael Höflich on behalf of the entire team, for his many years of commitment and his professional as well as social achievements for this company and its employees. We are certain that he will continue to provide us all with valuable advice in his well-deserved retirement."
With Tobias
Höflich in the management board and Daniel Höflich as Director of
Infrastructure and Quality Management, the entire management of KOHLSCHEIN is
now in the hands of the three brothers from the 4th generation. The company is
convinced that it will continue in its success under the new management and
further drive its growth strategy in a healthy and sustainable manner.
